Next Steps

CHI and I have had many discussions about the options available to me. We discussed a few regions but ultimately decided that the best place for me to continue my adoption journey would be in Moscow. That being said, today I applied for a Visa that will allow me to return to Russia in the beginning of the new year. Hopefully I will receive my invitation to travel quickly when the calendar turns to 2011. I hope all of you will continue to support me and follow along as I move forward in this process once again. I'll post again soon.

Adoption Timeline

1/12/11 - Received travel dates.
12/28/10 - Received my Visa.
12/01/10 - Applied for new Visa.
11/24/10 - Received my new FBI clearance.
11/17/10 - Got my documents back from Astrakhan.
10/15/10 - Can't go back to Astrakhan.
10/02/10 - Documents submitted to court.
09/02/10 - Received my new immigration clearance.
07/06/10 - Submitted for my new immigration clearance.
04/22/10 - Received my FBI clearance.
03/17/10 - Completed my court documents.
02/18/10 - Signed the papers to bring the little man home.
02/15/10 - Met the little man.
02/14/10 - Arrived in Astrakhan.
02/13/10 - Arrived in Moscow.
02/11/10 - Picked up my visa.
02/03/10 - CHI calls asking me to take my first trip. 02/01/10 - I accept the region assignment to Astrakhan.
01/27/10 - CHI calls about Astrakhan.
01/20/10 - My documents arrived in Russia.
01/11/10 - My 'wait' officially starts today!
01/07/10 - Received my CIS clearance.
01/04/10 - Submited dossier to CHI.
12/24/09 - Received completed home study.
12/17/09 - Fingerprinted for CIS.
09/29/09 - Accepted into the CHI Russia program.
09/24/09 - Submitted application to the Russia program.
